The Franklin Regional Transit Authority (FRTA) will be hosting a series of meetings to allow you an opportunity to comment on proposed fixed route changes for July 1, 2017.  With the uncertainty of budget cuts for FY’18, we are trying to create efficiencies within our existing service which may lead to deviations and/or reductions in stops and times along our routes. Discussion will take place on what future weekend service should look like if we are successful in obtaining earmark funds for partial Saturday service.

Meetings will be held on the following days:

April 12, 2017 3:30 pm – 5:00pm      Orange Armory, Orange, MA

April 18, 2017 2:00pm – 4:00pm       Discovery Center, Turners Falls, MA

April 19, 2017 12:30pm – 2:30pm     JWO Transit Center, Greenfield, MA

April 25, 2017 3:00pm – 5:00 pm     JWO Transit Center, Greenfield, MA

April 26, 2017 12:00pm – 2:00pm      Leyden Woods, Greenfield, MA

April 27, 2017 4:00pm – 6:00pm       Deerfield Town Hall, Deerfield, MA

Schedules & Maps

All FRTA Fixed Route Schedules operate Monday – Friday, excluding holidays.

There is no weekend service at this time.

FRTA’s fixed-route service is accessible to persons with disabilities.  Buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts or ramps that enable persons in wheelchairs or persons who cannot navigate steps to ride the bus.  Operators are trained to assist riders to use lifts, ramps, secure wheelchairs, provide information on destinations served, and announce stops (including the stop you requested as deemed safe by your driver).

Transfer Policy
You are allowed to transfer for free from any FRTA fixed route to another at the JWO Transit Center.

To do this, just ask the bus driver for a transfer before you exit the bus. The driver will give you an electronic transfer from the farebox.

The transfer will be valid for 60 minutes.

Other Accessibility Policies

You may travel with your respirator, concentrator, and portable oxygen.  Service animals are welcome on board buses and vans and in our facilities.  They must be kept under the control of the passenger at all times.  Public information is available in alternative formats upon request.
